Re: wont accept my metadata |
I have erased the files and uploaded the again, with a little variation in the metadata. The contributor page says now "reset by contribution engine,...." but this recording is still the one i deleted, i know because i change "montgorecords 001" for "montgo 001". What do i have to do or just wait?
Thanks

Re: wont accept my metadata |
I'm having this problem. I just signed up, uploaded a movie and filled in all the forms but when I tried to enter them, they disappeared and it seemed like the site had timed out. But when I re-signed on, I couldn't get back to the forms. The movie is now marked as "waiting for user to enter meta data"...but it won't let me!

Re: wont accept my metadata |
I can help you with the movies.
We have recently changed where they live, etc.
What is the identifier or page that shows your
stuck movie?
feel free to email me at my name at archive dot org.

Re: wont accept my metadata |
`No metadata describing files found. Waiting for user to enter metadata`
i`ve the same problem ...
the FAQ says
"If your upload is stuck in this way, you'll need to click on the show in question in the Contribution Center, then click the 'Edit' button to edit your show. Then you'll need to choose the File Options button, (in the top right) and fill in any missing information in that particular dialog box that pops up."
but i can`t see any 'Edit' button what-so-ever...
when i click on the movie in question a page comes up saying "Item not public yet -- only curators may preview this item."
any ideas ??

Re: wont accept my metadata |
OK, truly sorry.
I see what the problem is now for movies that don't have XML. I had a wrong link the Contributions page....
I've just pushed out the fix. Please try again, thanks for your patience, and thanks especially for the "perfect error report" that made it so easy to see my bug!
